Do you recognize the warning signs of muscle loss

​Muscle loss is the cause of weight gain…muscle is actually the tissue of longevity. Muscle is not just used for movement it also is the foundation of your metabolism. Muscle also acts to regulate how you’re body digests carbs and fats.
The stronger and healthier your muscles are the more carbs and fats your body will burn.
So losing muscle is a bad thing not only for the way we look but for our health long term!
Here are the warning signs you are probably losing muscle:
𝗪𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗦𝗶𝗴𝗻 𝟭: You are noticing weight gain in areas you didn’t before
𝗪𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗦𝗶𝗴𝗻 2: You feel weak and have no energy to get thru the day
𝗪𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗦𝗶𝗴𝗻 3: Your body has lost shape and you feel more saggy and flabby

𝗙𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗠𝘂𝘀𝗰𝗹𝗲 𝗟𝗼𝘀𝘀 𝗧𝗶𝗽 2: Do Full-Body Strength Sessions 2-4xs a week- Nothing prevents muscle loss than actively lifting weights. Even if you have injuries you can still work around them to retain muscle and get better with age. Strength training breaks down old and weak tissue and rebuilds back new and stronger muscles. So not only do you get stronger but you get toner!
The more cardio and fad diets you do the more muscle you actually end up losing. The more muscle you lose the harder and harder it is to gain it back. This also leads to a slower metabolism overall which will cause you to gain more body fat and health issues moving forward.

5 things to Avoid to reshape your body for good

Hating the way your body has been looking and feeling lately?
Does it seem to be getting worse? Well so did our client. We implemented these 5 things to completely reshape the way she looked!

Stop doing Cardio- that’s right all that cardio you are doing isn’t helping! When you do a lot of cardio you end up burning muscle mass and that makes you look flabby.

Start eating 40-50g of protein within the first hour of waking up.
Protein is a food that our body can not store…our bodies can store carbs and fats but not protein. Protein helps supply your body with all the essential amino acids necessary to retain the most active tissues in your body…muscle
It will also help to curb your appetite!

Do Barbell Squats, Deadlifts, Bench presses, Inverted Rows, and Overhead presses!
When done CORRECTLY these movements will help stimulate a lot of your muscles. Doing these movements over time will lead you to be more tone, defined, and stronger than ever

Have Protein with every meal
When you sit down to eat you need to make sure the base of the meal is protein. Higher protein diets have been shown to be more effective at reshaping your body long term. Aim for 1g per pound of body weight

Stop having cheat meals
Out of the 7 days in a week…if you start having cheat meals Friday and then that continues Sat and Sunday…that’s 3 days out of the week or more than half! 1 cheat day can ruin 1 week's worth of progress. So this is why every week you don’t see the scale move because week after week you are just taking off the weight you are gaining from the weekends!

ATTENTION MEN: Never Suffer From DAD BOD JOKES AGAIN!


Honestly, it's not cool for us dads to be made fun of for having dad bod.
We work so hard for our families and our careers but we sometimes forget to focus on ourselves.
I am sick of dads being ashamed of how they look when their shirts are off
Sick of dads having not the body they used to have
Somewhere along the way as we get older we forgot about ourselves
But I am on a mission to end Dad Bods for good!
Gentlemen here are 3 actionable tips you can begin applying today to get on the path to a new you
Carve out time in your week to strength train
We need to get you to put muscle back on your frame and we need to get you strong again. It won't take much to build up your body again. But strength training done for only 30min 2-4xs a week is enough to rebuild back!
Let’s get back to eating like men!
It's time to up your protein intake gentleman! Protein is the building block for muscle and will help you lose fat. Make sure you have 50g of protein every time you sit down to eat a meal. That's about 8oz of protein or 2 palm fulls every time you have a meal
Screw cardio Instead do a 10 min walk after every meal
I hate cardio, can't stand it in fact. Too much cardio makes you look skinny fat. It burns muscle and is not optimal to get rid of dad bod. But we need to do activities daily to help burn fat. A better approach is after you eat get up and move for 10-15 minutes. This will help your body to:
Utilize the food you just ate so you don't feel bloated
Improve digestion so you can lose fat and gain muscle
Improve health markers so that you can live longer
Improve aches and pains

Kelly Celebrates 50 Personal Training Sessions

Summer is just beginning, the kids are almost done with school, and you have vacations planned and a ton of summer outings.
I know life is extremely busy but you need to make time to take care of your fitness.
The industry data tells us that a personal training client will typical do 6 or fewer sessions before they fall off or give up
