What can I expect from the workouts? What kind of equipment will I be using?

The only thing that burns fat 24/7 is muscle. Muscle is the only thing that burns fat...not cardio.  You will notice we don’t have any fancy machines or cardio equipment here. We base our workouts around the exercises that utilize the most amount of muscle at once. Your workout will be modified according to our evaluation and what you are capable of doing. Our coaches will never give you something to do that you cannot successfully accomplish while still pushing you to get better every session.

I have never worked out before will I be able to “keep up”?

Our workouts are tailored for YOUR abilities. We meet you right where you are at currently. We will never give you an exercise that you are not ready for physically. We have successfully personal trained people of all different shapes and sizes. 70 year old post knee replacement clients, a mom of 3 who wants to lose stomach fat and competitive powerlifters, and they all reached their own individual goals, safety and effectively.

Is the training personalized for me?

Sessions will be personalized for where you are at in our system. We use levels of progression for each workout and you will move through those levels over time, keeping you challenged and engaged.

I am really out of shape or dealing with an injury is this place for me?

We work with all kinds of people here at AB Fitness Center. We have worked with members from 18 years old to 84 years old. Our Fitness system is tailored for your abilities. We have also worked with people recovering from all kinds of surgeries from total knee replacements to bad backs, we fit the training to you not the other way around.

Is this like CrossFit or Orange Theory?

I am happy to say NO!  In a CrossFit or Orange theory group workout there could be anywhere from 20-40 people for one coach with a workout program that is NOT tailored to you. Here at AB Fitness Center we believe that the coach to client ratio is very important for proper progression and individualization, this is why we have a 6 to 1 client to coach ratio so you get all the attention you need without feeling awkward as some one-on-one sessions can feel.

How many times a week do I need to come and What should I be doing outside the gym?

2-4xs a week is the average times you need to dedicate to coming to the gym. 70% of your results will come from your nutrition. Instead of wasting time doing cardio we want you to be focusing on the 70% that matters. 2-4xs a week is ideal because your muscles will need time to recover from training. I know its hard to believe but despite what others tell you its not about quantity its about quality of work! 

How does the nutrition program work?

70% of your results will come from your nutrition. That's a huge number, so here at AB Fitness Center all of our programs INCLUDE a customized nutrition program. That's right no extra charges for nutrition!  All of our trainers are also Certified Nutrition Coaches so we can help you at any stage with any of your questions. In addition to the customized plan you receive we also have Nutrition Sessions available where you can sit with one of our nutrition coach and go over YOUR specific issues.

I love my wine, is it ok to still drink it?

Of course! No food is off limits! We teach you how you can fit the foods that you love into your day so you can still make progress. Below are 2 videos of some of our clients who drink wine and eat foods that aren't considered "clean foods". Check out the videos below:

How much does this program cost?

Our programs vary in price depending on what we deem necessary for you based on your goals. We put together a plan of attack for you during our initial Evaluation. During your initial evaluation we dive down deep into your goals, find out how much fat and muscle you currently have, do an in depth nutritional analysis and from there we can really determine what its going to take to get your results. Our packages range from  399-749 a month.
